1967 Camaro Project
This is a 1967 Camaro, the data plate says it was a Ermine White with Red deluxe interior. It’s a base model Camaro that came with a 327 two barrel V8. As stated, it is a project that can be purchased as is, or we can take it to the next step for you after purchase. How about a painted roller? How about finishing it to make it your dream Camaro? There are all kinds of options and I will answer all questions We were hired to restore this Camaro and proceeded to dismantle, mount on a rotisserie, blast to bare metal, (Plastic media blast), replace sheet metal to included front floor pans, dash panel, inner and outer rockers, doors, right and left _ panels, inner and outer wheelhouses, and complete trunk floor pan. This is where the project stands today. All the above work has been accomplished in our professional manner. My customer rebuilt the front suspension to include ball joints and bushings throughout. The 10 bolt rear end has been gone through to include new rear brake drums and wheel cylinders. It has single leaf rear springs and new bushing kit. He also purchased new radiator support, front fenders, and sub frame mounting hardware and many emblems and other parts. I have a complete photo inventory of all the parts that go with this project. It is pretty complete. To try to make this long story shorter, my customer had to bail right in the middle of the project when he lost his job.
I ended up with the car and all its parts. The seats have been recently re-upholstered and are excellent. The door panels and all the other interior components need some help. All the glass is present; one door glass should be replaced. The bumpers need to be replaced or re-chromed. All the brackets are accounted for. Some of the stainless moldings around the windshield and drip rail need replacement. It has a 3 speed manual transmission with clutch pressure plate. No shifter. It was an automatic car with center console; my customer scored a matching transmission, bell housing, and all the clutch brake assembly that goes under the dash for a shift car. No automatic with the car although the shifter comes with it. It has a numbers matching 327 two barrel motor that needs rebuild, unless you want to give it some power. It would be a good selling point to have the original #s matching motor available for resale for a purist. I personally would upgrade to a 383 stroker or bigger and a 4 speed. This car would make a great Yenko clone for instance if you have a 427 and a 4 speed in you back pocket.
