I will try to explain in a paragraph or two. If you have read my story called "Radically Saved" you may begin to understand my passion for God and my passion for souls and also my passion for old cars. Or if you have ever taken the tour of my shop you may have seen along with the cool cars on display or in progress, a table with bibles and tracks and other God related information. It has always been amazing to me what happens when I have made myself available to the Lord. Here is one example that happened a few years back. I had my table set up with a sign that says "Free Bibles" when a car guy shows up at the shop.

I gave him the tour of the shop and we talked about a car that he might want to restore. When we approached my office he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the table with bibles. He looked at me and pointed to the table and said "What’s with this?" I said to him that I was a Christian and that I make bibles available to anyone who wants one. (The bibles are donated by a Car Guy Friend) I then told him that I love to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ when ever a door opens to do so. This big ole tough car guy broke down emotionally and cried. I asked him into my office and asked what was happening and he said that he was a Christian and that he was on his way to some sinful event, when he stopped at my shop. He had been walking in a sinful way and didn’t know how to stop, he feared he was about to lose his wife and so I reminded him about what Jesus came to earth for. I reminded him about forgiveness and the precious blood of the Lamb. Guilt had a hold on him and he asked for God’s forgiveness as we prayed together. Guilt left him. His last words as he left were "God sent me hear today". He thanked me and left.


All I did is make myself available and this car guy was touched by God. It’s not that I have all the answers, but the "Word of God" the Bible does, and when anyone makes themselves available to the Lord, I don’t care if they are brand new to the faith or a seasoned old believer, God shows up. Amen. Therefore, I am compelled to go a step further and make myself and my shop available and start "CAR GUY CHURCH".

The first few meetings will be Jimmy, (that’s me) and my guitar and a teaching on prayer.
